CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A seventh person has alleged abuse and detectives have filed an additional child sex charge against Rodney Scott, the former basketball coach at Pine Forest High School in Fayetteville. The victim was 16 years old at the time of the incident.

Scott, 50, of the 2300 block of Vestal Avenue, was originally charged Monday with two counts of statutory sex offense with a child in connection with an alleged assault of a 14-year-old boy at Scott's home. Since being charged, more victims have alleged abuse.

Scott has received an additional $50,000 secured bond for the new charges and is still currently being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center. His total bond is now $17,675,000.

He has now been charged with indecent liberties with a child in relation to this case, which occurred in June of 2009.

The warrants were served on Scott at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he has remained since his arrest on May 2, 2016.
