Flu vaccine deliveries delayed until end of October
Those seeking a flu vaccine may have to wait a little longer due to delays with vaccine deliveries, but officials anticipate the majority of vaccines will be delivered by the end of October, the state Department of Health and Human Services said Tuesday.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention allocates the influenza vaccine to states as it arrives at their shipping depot. The vaccine is delivered in stages as it is produced by manufacturers.
Since Aug. 29, the CDC has distributed approximately 378.3 million doses of vaccine across the country.
