Five Face Drug Charges in Moore Co.

Five people were arrested Monday when the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit raided an Aberdeen apartment.

ABERDEEN, N.C. — Five people were arrested Monday when the Moore County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit raided an Aberdeen apartment, according to a news release from Sheriff Lane Carter.

Officers seized 2.2 pounds of powder cocaine, 989 grams of marijuana, $59 in cash and drug paraphernalia from Apartment C on 400 Lakeshore Drive, authorities said. In a related search, Lee County officers seized 1,792 grams of marijuana from 250 Goat Hill Lane near Sanford.

Three of those arrested listed their address as the Aberdeen apartment, according to sheriff's documents.

Oscar Valderama Briseno, 30, was charged with eight felonies related to possession and sale of cocaine – trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, sale of cocaine, delivery of cocaine, conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.

Jonathan Jose-Arando Briseno, 18, and Jose Miguel-Delgadillo Diaz, 27, face charges related to the possession and sale of marijuana.

Leonardo Delgado Mares, 29, of 250 Goat Hill Lane in Sanford, faces eight felonies related to the possession and sale of cocaine -- trafficking in cocaine, conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, sale of cocaine, delivery of cocaine, conspiracy to sell/deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine and maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance.

Dora Nelly Torres, 37, also of 250 Goat Hill Lane, was charged with trafficking, conspiracy to traffic, possession and possession with intent to sell cocaine.
