Fisherman's body found in Jordan Lake

— A fisherman's body resurfaced in Jordan Lake on May 19, five days after he fell overboard while fishing, authorities said.

Melvin Clifton Farrington, 81, of Chapel Hill, fell into the lake off Farrington Point Road, north of U.S. Highway 64.

Chatham County and Apex firefighters searched Jordan Lake for several days without finding him.

    Some days you get the fish, and some days the fish gets you.

    Thoughts toward the family. It's sad to lose someone, even if he did go doing something he loved.
