Four units ruled uninhabitable after Raleigh apartment fire

Firefighters used a ladder truck and extended additional ladders to reach the pinnacle of the roof of a two-story, multi-unit apartment building that caught fire Thursday afternoon in north Raleigh.

The fire, at 6830 Highline St., was reported just after 5 p.m.
The apartment complex is located northeast of Triangle Town Center mall off Capital Boulevard (U.S. Highway 1) in north Raleigh.

Four buildings were deemed uninhabitable as a result of the fire, but no injuries were sustained, officials said.

According to a City of Raleigh Fire Department report, 62 firefighters were on scene Thursday afternoon, in addition to the Raleigh Police Department and the Red Cross.
