A Clayton home burned during a fire early Friday, Johnston County authorities said.

CLAYTON, N.C. — A Clayton home burned during a fire early Friday, Johnston County authorities said.
Authorities said that a neighbor reported the fire in the Winston Pointe subdivision, off Guy Road, around 1:30 a.m. The home appeared to be destroyed by the fire.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, authorities said.
Fire investigators remained at the scene, trying to determine the cause of the blaze.
