Fifth Teen Charged in Car Break-ins
A fifth teen has been arrested in a string of vehicle break-ins in the Clayton area, police said Monday.

Colton Alan Jones, 17, of 3702 Lizzie Mill Road in Selma, has been charged with 13 counts of felony breaking and entering a motor vehicle and nine counts of larceny. He was being held Monday in the Johnston County Detention Center on a $144,000 secured bond.
Dustyn Lee Heath, 18, of 420 Cannady St. in Clayton, Noah Chandler Crowder, 19, of 604 S. John St. in Clayton, Rafael Maurice Chicco, 16, of 1958 Jack Road in Clayton, and Robert Tremayne Davis, 18, of 2835 Woodside Drive in Clayton, were charged in recent weeks with similar offenses.
Clayton police and Johnston County deputies said the teens were responsible for more than 40 vehicle break-ins in which gold jewelry, PlayStation portable gaming systems, cell phones, MP3 players, CDs and prescription drugs were taken. The teens targeted unlocked cars in subdivisions and apartment complexes in and near Clayton and grabbed loose items that were easy to steal, police said.
