Fayetteville woman reported missing

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a Fayetteville woman who has been missing for more than a week.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a Fayetteville woman who has been missing for more than a week.

Family members of Shirley Lorraine Wheeler, 23, believe she might be endangered, police said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Wheeler, who was last seen May 26, is about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has blond and brown highlights in her hair.

Police did not release any further information, but asked anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to contact police at 910-433-1856.
