FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 19-year-old man is facing charges Wednesday after a fight broke out at Westover Senior High School in Fayetteville, a Cumberland County sheriff's spokeswoman said.

A school resource officer used a Taser on Calup Clark Jr. when he refused to stop fighting with a 16-year-old student in the school's main hallway around 9 a.m.

Clark was charged with misdemeanor simple affray.

Authorities said Clark, a junior at Westover, was the aggressor in the fight. The other student was cited, but not charged.
