Fayetteville residents' complaints lead to two arrests

Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police found drugs and a gun in a home in the 400 block of Brandermill Road Wednesday after receiving complaints from nearby residents about suspicious activity.
Officers arrested Vertee Pressey, 26, of the 1400 block of Boss Drive, and Ricky Speller, 30, of the 400 block of Brandermill Road, after finding marijuana, a rifle, drug manufacturing material and money in the home.
Both men were charged with possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for the sale of a controlled substance. Speller was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pressey was held on a $5,000 secured bond. Speller's bond information was not available.
"Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department would like to thank members of the public for contacting police with their concerns," police said in a statement.
