Fayetteville police seek man in connection with Waffle House shooting

Fayetteville police are looking for a 24-year-old man who they say fired multiple rounds at off-duty deputies Sunday while at a Waffle House on Yakdin Road.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are looking for a 24-year-old man who they say fired multiple rounds at off-duty deputies Sunday while at a Waffle House on Yakdin Road. 

Donqueiz Wilbridge, of the 1200 block of Weeping Willow Way, is wanted for possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer. 

According to investigators, Wilbridge shot at Cumberland County deputies L. Tuisasosopo and T. Stiokis about 3:20 a.m. Sunday while they were working off-duty and then fled the scene. The deputies were not injured.

Wilbridge is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds, police said. He has a tattoo of "J'nyra" on one arm and "Kira" on the other.
