Fayetteville police are seeking public assistance in locating a homeless man who they said stole a car during a test drive.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are seeking public assistance in locating a homeless man who they said stole a car during a test drive.

Detectives said they have obtained warrants for the arrest of Lamont Penny, 22, on charges of larceny of a motor vehicle, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Authorities said Penny stole a burgundy 2008 Honda Accord with no registration plate from Bryan Honda.

Penny is also listed as an absconder from parole, said police.
