Fayetteville police resolve hostage situation at Motel 6 on Bragg Boulevard

No one was injured during a shooting and hostage situation at a Motel 6 early Sunday morning.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — No one was injured during a shooting and hostage situation at a Motel 6 early Sunday morning.

Around 5:15 a.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Motel 6 at 3700 Bragg Blvd. Someone reported a disturbance in one of the rooms and that shots had been fired.

Police found two males inside a motel room. According to officers, the subjects were not cooperating or communicating with police. The Crisis Negotiation Team responded and was able to get both males out of the room.

Police said the subjects appeared to be under the influence of illegal drugs.

No injuries were reported.
