Fayetteville police arrest one, seek another in Quick Stop shooting

They arrested Tyrone Lamont Dobbins, 29, of the 100 block of Treetop Lane, on charges of attempted first-degree murder, assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, possession of a firearm by a felon and some drug charges. 

Police say they suspect that Martino Anthony Jones, 27, was the second shooter inside the Quick Stop Tobacco Shop, at 502 Grove St. that night. Jones' last known address was in the 2600 block of Gainey Road, and he is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds and has two tattoos – a dollar sign on his neck and the words "Crime Paid" on his forearm.

Police warn that Jones should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Dobbins was being held Friday at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $1,160,000 secured bond. 

The two victims of the shooting – Najib Bouzerda, 44, and Mohamed Ould, 41, – were still in the hospital Friday. Both men are expected to recover.

Police have said they believe there may have been two more people in a getaway car outside.
