FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who beat a female clerk during a robbery at a hotel.

Investigators said the man, who was captured on security video, walked into the Fayetteville Inn & Suites on Bordeaux Park Drive about 10 p.m. Sunday and approached the front desk. When the clerk stood up, the man jumped over the counter and demanded money.

Investigators said the man assaulted the clerk as he continued to demand money. He eventually got cash from the register and ran away.

Anyone who may recognize the man from the security photos or who has information about the crime is asked to call police at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477. Crime Stoppers pays cash for information leading to an arrest, and callers may remain confidential.
