Fayetteville nursing home's owner accused of stealing from patients to get drugs

The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Victoria Diane White, 54, took a resident's debit card and used it to withdraw $250 from the patient's bank account to buy gasoline, which she traded for drugs.

Detectives say she also gave the card and PIN to a friend who also made withdrawals.

White, who runs Miracle Restoration at 4850 Old Savannah Church Road, is also accused of stealing patients' pain medication and then exchanging it for crack cocaine.

In addition, investigators say she altered patients' medical records to show the patients had been given the drugs.

White, of 6905 Johnson Road, faces 22 charges: 11 counts of obtaining property by false pretense, three counts each of financial card theft and trafficking opiates by delivery and one count each of conspiracy, conspiring to traffic opiates, obtaining controlled substances by fraud, trafficking opium/heroin by possession, and trafficking opiates by sale.

She was jailed Wednesday at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $100,000 bond.

Miracle Restoration is a five-bed facility that currently houses three residents between 62 and 90 years old, the sheriff's office said.
