FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities said Tuesday that they have issued warrants for the arrest of a Fayetteville man in connection with a May shooting that crippled another man.

Audwin Pierre Lindsay Jr., 24, of 7878 Barfield Drive, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

A May 28 shooting left Carlos Manuel Sanchez a quadriplegic, authorities said.

Witnesses said Sanchez, 30, and another man were arguing in the 5600 block of Summerwind Drive when the other man pulled out a gun and opened fire, authorities said.

Lindsay is described as black, 5 feet 9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached, authorities said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500 or the office's tip line at 910-484-TIPS (8477).
