Cumberland County detectives on Wednesday arrested and charged a 37-year-old Fayetteville man with sex crimes against a minor. 

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Cumberland County detectives on Wednesday arrested and charged a 37-year-old Fayetteville man with sex crimes against a minor. 

Authorities arrested Frank Lee Murphy, of 2238 Shaw Road, late Wednesday and charged him with statutory rape. Investigators say Murphy's 14-year-old victim claims she was sexually assaulted between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6, 2011. 

Murphy, who was previously incarcerated on unrelated property crimes charges, was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center Thursday under a $50,000 secured bond. 

He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at 2:30 p.m.
