FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fayetteville man wanted in connection with a residential break-in last month was arrested early Friday by officers who found him near a business that had just been burglarized.

Fayetteville police officers were responding to an alarm at JB’s High Country Lounge on Hope Mills Road about 5 a.m. when they found Daniel Ray French, 24. Officers said French broke into the business and stole alcoholic beverages.

Detectives had warrants for French in connection with a Jan. 9 home break-in on Dante Lane, where a 2004 Spider Ferrarri and electronics were stolen.

French is charged with three counts of breaking and entering, two counts of larceny, larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, destruction of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. All the charges are felonies.

French was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $48,000 secured bond.
