Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff's deputies arrested a Fayetteville man after finding nearly 200 pornographic images, many involving children, on his home computer.
The sheriff's office charged Michael Ray Esquivel, 37, of 205 Jasmine Drive, with a total of 18 counts of second- and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Sheriff's deputies sent the photographs to the Child Victim Identification Program run by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The CVID confirmed that two of the photos were of previously identified victims of sexual abuse.
Esquivel is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $60,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
