FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police said Friday that they believe a man who robbed a Fayetteville bank a week ago robbed the same bank in August.

A masked man brandishing a handgun walked into the BB&T branch at 7790 Good Middling Road last Friday afternoon, demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a black, older-model, four-door sedan with tinted windows and no license plate, police said.

The robber was described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and a short, military-style haircut. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.

Police said a man fitting that description robbed the BB&T on Aug. 24.

Anyone who recognizes the man depicted in security camera photos is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 910-433-1856 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-8477.
