DUNN, N.C. — A Pennsylvania man whose 6-year-old daughter was killed in a Christmas wreck on Interstate 95 will be charged in the case, the state Highway Patrol said Friday.

Brandon John Greise, 34, of Hyndman, Pa., will be charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.

A tractor-trailer was northbound on I-95, near the Pope Road overpass in Harnett County, when Greise tried to pass it, troopers said. He lost control of his SUV and went off the road, striking a guardrail before over-correcting, hitting the tractor-trailer and landing upside down.

Taryn Greise was killed in the wreck. Troopers said she wasn't properly restrained in the SUV.

Brandon Greise, three other adults and two other children in the SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the wreck, and the driver of the tractor-trailer wasn't injured.
