CASTLE HAYNE, N.C. — A New Hanover County sheriff's deputy has been fired after being arrested.

Harold Lamont Fletcher, 37, was charged Monday with one count each of felony secret peeping and indecent liberties with a minor, the sheriff's office said.

The arrest stems from a complaint that the office received last week and turned over to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.

Fletcher, who was with the sheriff's office since January 2007, was jailed under a $15,000 secure bond.
