RAEFORD, N.C. — A former coach at East Hoke Middle School faces charges that he took indecent liberties with two students, authorities said Friday.

Jervon Edward Robinson, 35, of 2804 Carolina Church Road in Parkton, was arrested in Raleigh on Thursday and is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a student and one count each of indecent liberties with a child and sexual battery. He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $750,000 bond.

According to an arrest warrant, an alleged incident took place in January 2014, when Robinson touched or rubbed the legs and behind of a female student at East Hoke Middle.

Hoke County authorities said a second student alleged that Robinson molested her in December 2013.

Authorities said Robinson was a teaching assistant and coached the boys basketball team at the school from August 2013 to February 2014.
