Danny Glover to speak at UNC
Actor Danny Glover will deliver the 29th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Lecture on Jan. 21 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, university officials announced Monday.

The free lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall. It will be preceded by a candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Well on Cameron Avenue.
Glover will discuss how King's life and legacy influenced him to use his platform as an actor to engage in social activism, officials said.
Tickets for the lecture are free but required. UNC students may pick up tickets at the Memorial Hall Box Office on Cameron Avenue starting Jan. 12. There is a limit of two tickets per student.
Tickets to the general public may be picked up starting Jan. 14 at the box office. There is a limit of two tickets per person.
