Our resolutions for 2012

Some resolutions are meant to be broken - like any one that involves eating less chocolate. With 2012 upon us, the Out & About team wanted to share our resolutions with you, in the hopes we can keep them! 

 

Kathy Hanrahan

Out & About Coordinator Kathy Hanrahan - My goal last year was to lose 20-30 pounds. I ended up losing 35-40. So, my resolution is to keep the weight off. Also, I want to try more adventurous cuisine. I already started this by visiting Machu Picchu in Raleigh! Review coming soon. 

 

Sarah AdamsCalendar Editor Sarah Adams - I never follow through with my New Years resolutions so sometime long ago I just stopped making them. This year though, as I reflect on the past year I think about how thankful I am for all the great people in my life and I'd like to connect with them more everyday and hopefully make some new friends and connections! Lisa JeffriesMarketing Manager Lisa Jeffries - Each year, I try to pick another sustainable habit to add to my lifestyle, so this year I’m going to try to reduce my energy consumption as much as possible. That means being more conscious about turning lights off when I leave the room, not leaving stuff plugged in when it doesn’t need to be, and so on. Good for the earth and good for my power bill! Reading the WRAL.com Green Guide each week will help, too!

 

Liz McKeeAccount Executive Liz McKee - To shake things up and get more active, healthy and maybe drop a few pounds. 

 

 

Debbie TullosTheater correspondent Debbie Tullos - I had already planned a resolution to take at least one art class in 2012. This one will now be easy for me to fulfill because I got a gift card for one art workshop at Jerry’s Artarama for Christmas! By Jan. 12, I’ll have one resolution checked off the list. The dropping of holiday pounds resolution is going to take me a bit longer.
