CLINTON, N.C. — Embarq will close three call centers, including one in Clinton, over the course of the next few months, a spokesman said Friday.
Spokesman Charles Fleckenstein confirmed that the company was shutting down operations in Clinton, Fort Meyers, Fla., and Las Vegas.
The Clinton call center is to close Sept. 5. About 210 employees are affected by the closures.
Employees were notified of the plan Friday afternoon.
