Efland, N.C. — The Orange County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday was investigating the death of an Efland man as a homicide.
Charles Lloyd, of Bushy Cook Road, was taken to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill early Monday and later died, authorities said.
Medical workers thought Lloyd died from "blunt force trauma to his head," according to the Sheriff's Office.
Investigators are interviewing persons of interest in the case but said they have specific leads or suspects at this time.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Investigator Rick Smith of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at 919-644-3050.
