Durham shootings occurred 20 minutes apart, officials say

Two men were shot overnight in Durham in a span of 20 minutes.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two men were shot overnight in Durham in a span of 20 minutes.

Officials said the first shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday at 832 Ridgeway Avenue. One man was found shot inside an apartment above the EZ Food Mart near N.C. Central University and E. Lawson Street.

Before midnight, only 1/2 mile away from the first shooting, a second man was found shot outside a home at 1412 Bacon St.

Both men were taken to a hospital with injuries, but an update on their conditions was not provided.

A suspect was not identified in either case.
