Durham residents charged with drug trafficking

Derrick Wayne Baxter, 39, of 207 Walton St. in Durham, and Walter Hart Jr., 52, of 607 Prince Ave. in Durham, were charged this weekend with trafficking and conspiring to traffic opium/heroin, authorities said.

DURHAM, N.C. — Two Durham men are accused of trafficking drugs in Wake County.

Derrick Wayne Baxter, 39, of 207 Walton St. in Durham, and Walter Hart Jr., 52, of 607 Prince Ave. in Durham, were charged this weekend with trafficking and conspiring to traffic opium/heroin, authorities said.

Deborah Celeste Sullivan, 48, of 207 Walton St. in Durham, was charged with conspiring to traffic heroin, authorities said.

Baxter and Hart were being held Sunday in the Wake County jail under separate $100,000 bonds.

Sullivan was being held under a $25,000 bond.

All three are due in court Monday.
