DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police have asked the public to help identify men who broke into the Shell station, at 1016 W. Main St., twice this month.

Police said the store was robbed twice, on July 9 and Friday. In both incidents, the robbers used a brick to smash through the glass door at about 4:30 a.m, then took cigars and cigarettes.

The man in the first break-in can be seen on surveillance video wearing a black baseball cap, white gloves and a black jacket with a yellow stripe on the shoulder.

In the second incident, there are two black men wearing white T-shirts, white gloves and dark hats.

Anyone with information about the crimes or the men should call Investigator Rogers at 919-560-4935, ext. 29416, or Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to an arrest in felony cases, and callers never have to identify themselves.
