Durham police: Man attacked on American Tobacco Trail

A man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being attacked on the American Tobacco Trail near South Roxboro Street, Durham police said.

DURHAM, N.C. — A man was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoon after being attacked on the American Tobacco Trail near South Roxboro Street, Durham police said. 

Officers responding to the area found the man at about 12:35 p.m. The man, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Investigators said the man was attacked with a stick or rod-like object. No suspects have been arrested, and authorities did not release information about a motive.
