Durham police investigating shooting

Officers responded to a gunshot call at 1101 South St. at 7:50 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man sitting on the front porch with a gunshot wound.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating a Sunday night shooting.

Officers responded to a gunshot call at 1101 South St. at 7:50 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man sitting on the front porch with a gunshot wound.

The victim, whose name was withheld, was transported to Duke University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers said they determined that an unknown person, driving a white vehicle, shot the victim while he was seated on the porch.
