Durham police investigate two shootings

Officers responding to a call at 8:42 p.m. found two male victims shot. One was at 1200 N. Hyde Park Ave. and the other was at 1310 Juniper St.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating two Tuesday night shootings.

Officers responding to a call at 8:42 p.m. found two male victims shot. The first victim was at 1200 N. Hyde Park Ave. and had a gunshot wound to his hand. They found a second man at 1310 Juniper St. had been shot in the stomach and suffering what police described as life-threatening injuries.

Emergency Medical Service ambulances took both victims to Duke University Hospital.

Police cordoned off the area and were investigating. They declined to release any other information Wednesday morning, including the condition of the man shot in the stomach.
