How does an 11-yr. old wander away from home?

I am so glad that she was found safe and unharmed! I know her family is relieved too!

Spanking is not effective. If you want to punish her, no TV for a month! .. and of course, she's majorly grounded.

What a precious little girl, so glad she was found safe and is back with her family.

The first question before implementing punishment would be why. She may have had legitimate reason for leaving. You never know what goes on in a home. I'm not saying there was or wasn't, but she doesn't need a spanking wished on her when we don't know all the facts. Just be thankful she safe .

She need to understand what she put her Mother and other thru. If she did it once and wasn't punished, she may try it again.

Happy Endings in a world of so much mess. I am with a few of the other posters, once I hug her and love her then she needs punishment. Spanking won't hurt and then explained to why she got it. Go on the internet and show how many children and parents that are not going to have a happy ending.

I'm very happy the girl is ok, but probably happier that the posts have not been demeaning and negative for this story.
