Durham museum opens wintry 'Frozen Over' exhibit in January
Frozen Over, a special exhibit at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, returns on Jan. 4 with an "icicle" forest, indoor ice rink, igloo build area and more.
Posted — UpdatedThe space also will include a 400-square-foot synthetic ice rink and foam blocks that look as if they might be ice blocks for igloo building.
Scheduled "snowball" fights, with pom-pom snowballs, happen from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
There's also a space designed for kids five and under where they can take part in age-appropriate activities.
Frozen Over is free with admission, which is $16 and $11 for kids ages 3 to 12. It runs through Jan. 29.
