Durham man stabbed in chest

Durham police were investigating a stabbing Tuesday night that left a man in critical condition.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police were investigating a stabbing Tuesday night that left a man in critical condition.

Officers went to Durham Regional Hospital at 8:49 p.m. Tuesday after family members dropped off a man there. The man, whose name was not released, had been stabbed in the chest, police said.

He was transferred to Duke University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, authorities said.

Investigators said they do not have any more details about the stabbing.
