Durham man sought on robbery, kidnapping charges

DURHAM, N.C. — Police are searching for a Durham man wanted on robbery and kidnapping charges.

De’Arngre Tryvon Kelley, 18, of Elizabeth Street, robbed two people at gunpoint around 12:40 a.m. on March 21 in the parking lot of a McDonald’s, at 102 W. Morgan St., Durham police said Thursday.

The victims – a man and a woman – told officers they were in the parking lot when three men approached them and robbed them of cash, jewelry and cell phones.

Kelley, who also goes by the name DeAndre Kelly, is charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of second-degree kidnapping and one count of felony conspiracy.

James Antonio “J.B.” Brown Jr., 20, of Foxridge Crescent, was arrested last month and charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, one count of felony conspiracy and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in this case.
