DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a shooting that left two people with gunshot wounds and another with injuries after jumping from a window to escape.

Durham police responded to a call at 5110 Old Chapel Hill Road just before 11 p.m. on April 11 after two men, one armed with a gun, entered an apartment with three people inside. The man fired several shots and fled, police said.

A 22-year-old woman was treated for a graze gunshot wound to her hand and a 21-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the calf. A 20-year-old man injured his hands when he jumped out of the third-story window during the incident, police said.

Timothy Jamia Williams, 21, was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and two counts of felony conspiracy. He was being held at the Durham County Jail under $100,000.

Authorities do not believe the incident was random.
