PITTSBORO, N.C. — A Durham man is accused of repeatedly raping a friend while she was sleeping and sedated, according to the Chatham County Sheriff's Office.

Maj. Gary Blankenship said the woman came to Chatham Hospital in early April and reported that she had been sexually assaulted. He said a detective started an investigation, and a sexual assault kit was submitted to the State Bureau of Investigation to be analyzed.

Investigators believe that Cameron Alonte Green, 21, of 610 Reservoir St., had sexual relations with the woman multiple times while she was heavily sedated on prescription medication, Blakenship said. He said Green and several other friends were guests at the woman's home.

Green was charged this week with three counts of second-degree rape and two counts of second-degree forcible sex offense.

He was placed in the Chatham County jail under a $2 million secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
