A wreck on Sherron Road in eastern Durham County Thursday morning has left one person dead and two people injured, authorities said.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — A wreck in eastern Durham County Thursday morning has left one person dead and two people injured, authorities said.

A black Chevrolet pickup truck and a red Honda Civic collided in the 1200 block of Sherron Road around 7:30 a.m.

The deceased's identity hasn't been released. Two injured people were taken to Duke University Medical Center.

Sherron Road has been closed by authorities.
