Durham charter school Omuteko Gwamaziima could not meet state requirements and will surrender its license at the end of the school year.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham charter school Omuteko Gwamaziima could not meet state requirements and will surrender its license at the end of the school year.

By law, a charter school must enroll a minimum of 65 students. Seventy-five percent of a charter's teachers must be state certified. Omuteko Gwamaziima was unable to meet those minimums.
