In a new piece on the website XO Jane, where she penned a lengthy op-ed in February explaining her decision to go into porn, the student showed her face and gave her stage name – Belle Knox.
“The Internet does not dictate my life,” she wrote. “My sexuality is not some sort of blackmail to be used against me, granting you ownership over my life or my story. It is my life. It is my story.”
While she continues to receive backlash, she identifies herself as a martyr for women, especially those in the sex industry.
"My name is Belle Knox, and I wear my Scarlet Letter with pride," she wrote.
