Dudley woman accused of armed robbery
A Dudley woman has been charged in an armed robbery of a retail store, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

DUDLEY, N.C. — A Dudley woman has been charged in an armed robbery of a retail store, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
Deputies were dispatched Friday to an armed robbery in progress at the Dollar General store on N.C. Highway 117 South in Dudley. When deputies arrived, they searched the area and boxed in the suspect.
Regina Speight, of the 100 block of Heather-Ann Lane, was charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. She was held in the Wayne County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
Deputies said they recovered cash and merchandise stolen from the store.
