Driver has heart attack, crashes in Wake Forest

A man died Saturday after having an apparent heart attack while driving on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest, authorities said.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A man died Saturday after having an apparent heart attack while driving on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest, authorities said.

The man, identified as David Lawrence Brodish, was in the car with his wife about 8:30 p.m. when the heart attack occurred, according to a spokesman for the Town of Wake Forest. The vehicle ran off the roadway at 11420 Capital Blvd. and overturned.

Emergency responders treated Brodish, but he did not survive. His wife suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, the spokesman said.

No other vehicles were involved.
