CARY, N.C. — Cary police are looking for whoever is responsible for vandalizing 19 school buses at Green Hope High School over the weekend.

A school employee discovered graffiti on 18 yellow buses and an activity bus, parked outside the school at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said Monday that they don't believe the graffiti is gang-related or racially motivated.

They are also reviewing security video at the school, but did not have any suspects as of Monday morning.

Anyone with information that can help investigators is asked to contact the Cary Police Department at 919-469-4012 or Cary Crime Stoppers at 919-226-2746.

Additional cleaning crews were on hand Monday to clean the buses, according to the Wake County Public School System.

Some buses did run late as a result but all of them were operating.
