Downtown Raleigh bank robbed

Police were searching Monday for a man who robbed a downtown Raleigh bank.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Police were searching Monday for a man who robbed a downtown Raleigh bank.

A man walked into the First Citizens Bank branch at 239 Fayetteville St. at about 11:15 a.m., handed a teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The man was described as wearing a white shirt under a dark-colored jacket, dark pants and a ball cap. Police said he was last seen heading north on Fayetteville Street.
