Police were searching Monday for a man who robbed a downtown Raleigh bank.

A man walked into the First Citizens Bank branch at 239 Fayetteville St. at about 11:15 a.m., handed a teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The man was described as wearing a white shirt under a dark-colored jacket, dark pants and a ball cap. Police said he was last seen heading north on Fayetteville Street.

Guns are illegal in banks. But this guy robbed it using a note. I think they need to ban paper in banks too.

Nice disguise.

Um, the description is HE LOOKS LIKE THE GUY IN THE PICTURE!!!! But i'm sure the wingers can dream up some incredible conspiracy to throw at us.

Did he have dark hair, light hair, what was the color of his skin tone? How tall? Approx weight? How about a simple, "we will post a description of the suspect as soon as one is available" if you don't have one to write about?!

I guess WRAL does not really care to help locate the robber with such a description. Maybe the man had green skin with pink and white stripes.
