Deputies searching for men who broke into Fayetteville school

Cumberland County sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in finding three men who broke into Cumberland Mills Elementary School in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding three men who broke into Cumberland Mills Elementary School in Fayetteville on Sunday.

Deputies said Tuesday that the incident happened about 2 p.m. when the men entered three different buildings at the school and damaged property.

Responding deputies saw the men running toward Cumberland Road, but they lost sight of them in the area of Cumberland Towers Apartments, near Cumberland Bay Drive.

Security video captured images of two of the men. Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 910-677-5455 during business hours, or 910-323-1500 after hours.
