RAEFORD, N.C. — A Hoke County juvenile is facing four counts of attempted murder after deputies said he poured a "substance" in a bag of ice that family members were going to consume.

Deputies were called for a domestic dispute in the 6200 block of Arabia Road in Raeford around 1:45 a.m. on Monday. When they arrived, a woman said she and her son got into a verbal fight, which led to her son assaulting her and another man in the house.

The woman told deputies after that she saw her son pouring the substance on the ice. Deputies did not give any additional details on what substance was poured on the ice.

The juvenile was transported to Cumberland County Detention Center.
